Capgemini is hiring a ServiceNow Developer specializing in App Engine for its global SaaS Solutions division. This role centers on planning, designing, and building scoped custom applications from scratch on the Now Platform. Rather than relying solely on heavy traditional scripting, the role focuses on low-code engineering paradigms. You will be responsible for defining database schemas, form layouts, and user experiences while leveraging automated workflows. The daily scope balances building flow logic, connecting third-party systems via APIs and IntegrationHub spokes, setting up platform access controls, and collaborating with business stakeholders to transform operational processes into highly efficient digital workflows.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on professional experience in ServiceNow development and administration, including building or customizing enterprise applications on the Now Platform.
  • Proven capability to plan, build, and deploy scoped applications using App Engine Studio, Guided App Creator, or classic Studio.
  • High proficiency creating, managing, and maintaining complex digital workflows, subflows, and custom "Actions" utilizing Flow Designer.
  • Direct experience integrating ServiceNow with external platforms and databases using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub low-code connection spokes.
  • Deep structural understanding of the foundational ServiceNow layer, including database schema layout (tables/fields), form and list setups, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Notifications, and reporting engines.
  • Experience designing and implementing Access Control Lists (ACLs) to ensure secure data isolation across custom application modules.
  • Experience constructing modern workspaces or end-user portals using UI Builder or the classic Service Portal framework with minimal raw coding.
  • Familiarity with standard ServiceNow modules (such as ITSM processes like Incident/Change Management, or GRC compliance) and an understanding of how custom apps programmatically interact with CMDB data structures.
  • Strong habits for drafting clear application architecture designs, functional configuration documentation, runbooks, and self-service end-user guides.
  • Active collaboration patterns to translate business needs into technical designs during Agile workshops and sprint planning sessions, paired with adaptive troubleshooting skills for post-deployment support.
